This July, colleagues from across Teza gathered in Munich for our second Work Together Week.
The event also marked another step in our expansion into Germany, where we are building our newest office.
Munich felt like a natural choice. It is a city with a long tradition of science, engineering and precision – values that continue to influence the way we think about building.
This year's theme was Acceleration.
The week explored what acceleration means inside a quant trading: reducing the time between research, implementation and production: shorter research cycles, less unnecessary complexity, and faster feedback.
The program combined technical lectures covering microstructure research, AI, and related infrastructure updates along with an engineering hackathon running throughout the week.
This week we explored what acceleration inside a quant trading really means.
The hackathon changed the rhythm of the event.
Rather than discussing ideas in the abstract, engineering teams spent the week building. New tools, infrastructure improvements and internal systems were designed, implemented and tested over the course of just a few days.
Friday's closing presentations became the highlight of the week.
Teams demonstrated what they had built, giving everyone an opportunity to see how much was accomplished.
Like every Work Together Week, the conversations continue after everyone returns home.
Presentations are shared internally, projects continue to evolve and many of the ideas discussed during the week move into production.
By bringing our global teams together, we strengthen the relationships that make collaboration easier, decisions faster, and ideas stronger.
Those connections continue long after the week ends, shaping how we work together every day.
