Leadership

Daniel Deering came to Teza in 2014 and was promoted to CFO in 2017. Daniel is a member of Teza’s management, investment and risk committees. In addition to spearheading the financial oversight of the U.S. advisory business, Daniel also leads the expansion and growth of Teza’s China onshore business.

Prior to Teza, he served as Head of Finance at Tibra Trading America LLC.  At Tibra, Daniel was responsible for all finance activities of U.S. entities and a leader in business development.  Previously, he spent seven years at PEAK6 Investments LP, culminating with the position of Director of Finance and Strategy. 

Some of his achievements at PEAK6 include the successful co-leadership of acquisitions and business development for start-ups, including: private equity fund, a hedge fund, an online retail trading platform, joint ventures and online properties.  Daniel also led the implementation of a firm wide performance management platform and corresponding business intelligence data warehousing. He earned his CPA and has a B.S. in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University.
